Cabins

Cape Henlopen

Cape Henlopen Park

The Cape Henlopen's cabins are located in a secluded area at the edge of the campground, and are perfect for anyone who wants to enjoy the best parts of camping at the beach without the bother and discomfort of leaky tents or less-than-comfortable sleeping bags on the ground! These cabins sleep six, with real beds in both bedrooms. And after spending a great day at one of the finest beaches on the East Coast, you'll love spending your evenings on your own oversized screened-in dining porch, the perfect spot for relaxed meals and family card games.

Killens Pond Cabins

Killens Pond

The cozy wood-framed family cabins sleep four and are nestled in a wooded area of the Park close to the 66-acre mill pond. The eleventh cabin, called the Pond View Cottage is located behind the others with a scenic view of the pond. All feature an efficiency kitchen with an eating area, bedroom, bath with shower, A/C, and heat. A picnic table, grill and porch are located outside. Dogs are only allowed in Cabins 9 & 10.

Trap Pond Cabins

Trap Pond

The rustic 2-room camping cabins at Trap Pond have a wonderful location next to the water. Enter the cabin at the screened-in porch and move inside to the living area with table, benches and chairs. The bedroom has a double bed and bunk beds to sleep four adults. The units have A/C and heat for year-round comfort, and offer a great camping experience with protection from the weather. A picnic table, grill and potable water are located outside, and campers will find convenient bath and shower facilities nearby.

Campsites cannot be resold or transferred to nonregistered persons or third parties. Any unauthorized resale or transfer may result in cancellation of the reservation without a refund.

  • Reservation Changes, Cancellations & Refunds

Reservation changes may be made once at no charge. Subsequent changes will result in a $10 fee per change.

Changes may include date or site number; transaction total must remain the same as the original to qualify as a change.

A cancellation fee of $10 will apply if cancellation occurs 31 days or more before arrival date. Balance of payments will be refunded.

    Early departures forfeit all balances.

Refunds for cancellations may only be issued by the Division of Parks and Recreation or by the Call Center.

The park reserves the right to hold a campsite, cabin or yurt for 24 hours after your expected arrival date before your reservation is cancelled and returned to inventory.

Cancellations will result in the issuance of a refund of the balance of fees paid. The refund will be applied by the same instrument by which payment was made (i.e. credit card payments will receive a credit using the same credit card. Checks and money orders will receive a check refund.) Refunds by check require a minimum of 4 to 6 weeks for delivery. The Request for Refund procedures must be followed for refunds made by check.

Customers may not cancel a reservation and rebook the stay for the same dates in order to receive a promotional discount.

Designated officials in each park and specified Dover staff may authorize a complete refund in case of emergency or early departure.

  • Firewood

Help us protect our trees by preventing the spread of harmful insect pests to Delaware’s parks and forests. Due to recent quarantines and threats of invasive insects that are detrimental to Delaware’s agriculture, outside firewood is no longer permitted in Delaware State Park campgrounds. Firewood is available for purchase at all State Park campgrounds.

  • Open Burn Notice

Campfires and open fires may be banned in selected campgrounds during extremely dry conditions. Please contact the campground immediately prior to your visit for fire status. Charcoal fires in grills are permitted during bans unless otherwise noted.

Campfires should be contained within the fire ring, and should not be left unattended.

Campfires are not permitted at Delaware Seashore State Park at any time.
